Maha Koraiem is an author, blogger and health coach. She is co-founder of fashion and lifestyle website SWIISH.com and co-author of two health and wellbeing cookbooks – the number one bestselling Super Green Smoothies and the recently released The Good Life.
Known for her entrepreneurial spirit, Maha began her career in Investment Banking Human Resources where she held senior executive roles and worked alongside CEOs and MDs at the likes of global powerhouses J.P. Morgan and Bankers Trust, as well as ANZ Bank.
However, her desire to start her own business, coupled with her passion for all things fashion, health and lifestyle, saw Maha leave this career behind to launch SWIISH.com in October 2012 alongside her sister, Sally Obermeder.
SWIISH stands for Stylish Women Inspiring Inner Strength Health & Happiness, and is a vibrant, feel-good online destination. It inspires a luxe lifestyle for less, covering everything from fashion, beauty, family, homewares and health. SWIISH covers all the latest trends, classic styles, incredible finds and exciting new brands. Plus with an online store, SWIISH readers can pick up affordable and chic fashion, beauty and lifestyle buys.
Testament to Maha’s strong passion for health and fitness, and ethos of living a balanced, healthy, happy life, Super Green Smoothies is the number-one best-selling book released together with Sally in 2015. It has sold over 80,000 copies, has been reprinted 8 times, and translated across the globe into several languages.
Following on from the book was the addition of a 30 Day Super Green Smoothies Challenge and 30 Day Best Body Challenge, two all inclusive programs created to inspire a healthy, active, energised, lean lifestyle.
In March 2016, Maha and Sally released The Good Life, a full cookbook containing over 160 easy, delicious recipes for a healthy, lean lifestyle.
Having completed studies in Nutrition and Diet through Beck Health & Nutrition, and gaining accreditation with the International Institute for Complementary Therapists, Maha’s status as a health coach together with her role at SWIISH, has meant that her advice on living a well balanced lifestyle, incorporating mind body and spirit is highly regarded.
Additionally, her mid-life career transition from the corporate world to successful entrepreneur where she combines both the creative and the commercial, has meant Maha is sought out as a regular panel speaker and mentor to many others who are in need of inspiration to walk this path. Maha is often featured across both print and digital publications sharing her tips for success and longevity in business.
Maha has also performed MC roles for a number of events including fashion launches, corporate functions and charity events, as well as conducted many celebrity interviews including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Khloe Kardashian.
Passionate about giving back, Maha supports several charities including the Cancer Council and Giant Steps (helping children & young adults with autism). In addition, Maha together with Sally and their SWIISH team run the charitable initiative WISH by SWIISH. They try to bring a little joy and happiness into the lives of those suffering illness by donating beauty, fashion, pampering, and travel experiences to hopefully add a little sparkle to those who need it most in an otherwise challenging time.
Maha also holds a Bachelor of Arts, graduating from Macquarie University’s Division of Psychology in 2006.
